Heat pump installation costs in Colorado Springs can fluctuate in price. Pricing for your heat pump install can vary based on a multitude of factors, some of which include:
The heat pump’s size. A heat pump is sized in “tonnage”, which refers to how much heat the system can remove/add to your home in a certain timeframe. The more tonnage needed to keep your home comfortable, the larger the heat pump size you need. And the larger the heat pump, the more the system costs.
The system’s efficiency levels. Heat pump efficiency levels are measured by SEER ratings and AFUE ratings. The system’s SEER rating indicates how efficient it is at cooling your home and it’s AFUE ratings determine its efficiency when heating. The higher the SEER/AFUE ratings, the more the system will cost but the more you’ll save on energy costs.
Ductwork modifications. If your ductwork is in bad shape, it will need to be repaired and/or replaced, which raises the overall heat pump installation cost.
