How much does whole-home rewiring cost in Denver?
Looking for an exact estimate for your wiring/rewiring project?
Just schedule a free estimate with Cooper. We’ll send over an experienced electrician to inspect the state of your home’s current electrical wiring. From there, we’ll provide you with a no-obligation estimate for the job.
The size of your home: Bigger homes usually mean higher prices for whole-home rewiring. That’s because larger homes simply have more wiring that needs to be replaced, which takes more time and increases labor and material costs. Also, if your home has several stories/floors, this increases the price as our electricians will need to run wiring up and down to different floors.
The type of wiring your home has: If your home was originally wired using an outdated, unsafe wiring method such as “knob and tube”, your whole-home rewiring price will typically increase. That’s because our electricians will need to remove the individual tubes and knobs, which is tedious and increases the time/labor costs.
The method of rewiring: Sometimes our electricians can “pigtail” old aluminum wiring, which is a method that does not require cutting into walls/drywall. Because of its minimally invasive nature, pigtailing is a less expensive method than replacing the wiring altogether.
Whether your home also needs a new electrical panel: Some older homes in the Denver area have electrical panels that provide less than 100 amps. Most homes today require an electrical panel that has 150–200 amps.
