Ductless HVAC Systems in Broomfield, Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and the Surrounding Area
We offer many ductless systems that have plenty of unique advantages to offer those that use them. Most people think of centralized systems when they think of climate control. While central air conditioning and heating systems certainly have their advantages, though, they aren’t the only types of systems available.
That’s why Cooper Heating & Cooling offers a full range of ductless HVAC services throughout the Colorado Front Range. We can install new ductless systems, and also offer repair and maintenance if you already own a ductless system. Trust us for all your ductless HVAC needs here in Colorado!
How Do Ductless Mini Split Systems Work?
A ductless mini split is a heat pump, which means it recycles refrigerant back and forth to provide both heating and cooling functions. Unlike a normal heat pump, though, a ductless system uses small air handlers to distribute air throughout individual rooms.
Each of these air handlers has its own thermostat, which allows it to operate separately from the rest of the system. Up to four indoor air handlers can be connected to a single outdoor unit. Like all heat pump systems, ductless systems are able to reverse their refrigerant flows to offer both heating and cooling functions.
Advantages of Ductless Mini Split System Installations
Ductless mini splits offer a number of advantages beyond the typical heat pump system. They are typically the only climate control systems in homes that use them since they can be used all year–round. This removes the need to store and spend more money on a separate system. Ductless systems are also quite a bit more energy efficient than standard heating systems because they don’t have to burn any fuel to generate heat.
Ductless systems also offer a much finer degree of control over a home’s indoor climate than centralized systems do. Typically, a central heater or air conditioner has one thermostat, and can either condition the entire house or none of it. This leads to hot and cold spots throughout the house. If there are multiple residents, it tends to make at least one of them uncomfortable at any given time.
Each unit used in a ductless system has its own thermostat, which allows you to set the ideal temperature for each area in the home. No more fighting over a single thermostat, and no more having to deal with wide temperature swings throughout the year.
We’re the Ductless Minisplit Experts
Installing a ductless heating and air conditioning system is very straightforward for trained professionals. No ductwork is used, and a small hole drilled in an outer wall allows for a simple conduit to connect the indoor and outdoor components. Cooper Heating & Cooling has years of experience providing ductless installation services throughout the Front Range.
